El Catrín is a male skeleton that goes with La Catrina, a famous female skeleton created by the Mexican illustrator José Guadalupe Posada. El Catrín and La Catrina are elegantly dressed with a European hat. This origami skull has been folded and decorated by Omar Montes de Oca.
Why fold scary but boring origami skulls for Halloween when you can make fun and colorful paper skulls, decorated like the Mexican calaveras? :-)

Thank you very much for turning my origami skull into a beautiful El Catrín, Omar!
Make your own origami and send me pictures of your origami models too! :-)
