Origami Butterfly Flyaway

Receive a beautiful paper butterfly, send back a picture!

Of all the original origami models I created and published on the Origami Plus YouTube Channel, my favorite so far is this 2 colors origami butterfly.

I sometimes receive pictures of my origami models folded by other folders (Thank you very much Annette, Anthony, Hisako, Philippe, Raksha, Unikat and Yñiguez!), and it's always thrilling to know that my models are traveling to far away places that I have never been to!

So I was thinking I could help my paper butterfly to travel all over the world by mailing them to you, dear readers, viewers and origami enthusiasts! :-) And together we could create a huge collection of paper butterflies pictures taken in many different cities and countries.

How it works

1. You send me a mail to stephane@origami.plus to tell me that you would like to participate in the origami butterfly flyaway. It would be nice if you could tell me a bit about yourself. :-) If you have a blog or site, a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a YouTube channel etc. Please tell me as well so that we can connect. And of course please give me your name and address so that I can send you an origami butterfly of my design. If you have a favorite color, please tell me and I will try to find it in my paper stash.
2. I fold a butterfly for you, put it in an envelope, and mail it to you.
3. You take a picture of the butterfly in your city / country (preferably outside), and e-mail me the picture. Please tell me where the picture was taken, and if you would like me to mention your name (or just a first name or nickname) and any link. Of course you keep the butterfly. :-)
4. I will then publish your picture on this page (with your name and any detail you would like to share), and try to create a map too. :-)

Alternatively, if you want you can also fold the butterfly yourself, and e-mail me a picture right away. :-) It's very easy to fold and takes less than 10 minutes.
